A breakfast show presenter was rushed to hospital after an on-air magic trick went horribly wrong.

The trick is a well-known one, in which the subject must slam their hand down over paper bags - some of which are empty, but one of which contains a nail sticking up.

In a clip from Polish show Question for Breakfast, a visiting magician slammed his hand over one paper bag which was empty, then got presenter Marzena Rogalska to do the same with a different bag.

However, he had the wrong bag, and Rogalska's hand was impaled by the nail causing her to scream out in pain.

According to The Sun, the trick had been rehearsed and performed without incident prior to the taping.

Rogalska was rushed to hospital where doctors determined the injury was superficial.
