Canterbury's snapped Auckland's four-year winning streak at Eden Park in the ITM Cup.

They've won 27-21, with the red and blacks surviving a flurry of attacks on their try line in the final seconds of the game.

World cup hopeful Ryan Crotty capped off an impressive performance with a try and Canterbury coach Scott Robertson thinks he may have enhanced his chances.

He said Crotty and Joe Moody both had great games and he hopes it's not too late for them.

Auckland prop Charlie Faumuina lasted 40 minutes before being subbed.

Canterbury move to second on the ITM Cup table.
