Former boxing champ Paulie Malignaggi now wants to take on Conor McGregor in the ring!

Malignaggi was helping McGregor with his boxing leading up to the highly anticipated McGregor vs Mayweather fight. Malignaggi was McGregor's sparring partner for weeks and then got fed up how he was being portrayed.

McGregor's team released footage and photos of Malignaggi getting dominated by McGregor in the ring which he thought was bullshit. You can check out the sparring match HERE.

Malignaggi has now left the McGregor training camp and now wants to fight McGregor!

He told MMA Hour, "When you don't like someone you don't spar them, you fight them."

He continued to say, "We'll need to see how he looks against Mayweather, If he looks dog shit, no one will want to see us fight."

Malignaggi also noticed that St Patrick's Day next year will be on a Saturday and to him, that was the ideal.

"As long as he doesn't get the living shit beaten out of him, I think the demand is there to make the fight. Once this all started coming out, my eyes went to the calendar when this thing started buzzing."

It may be a long shot at this stage, but as proven already in McGregor's career, anything is possible!
