Kane Williamson Expected To Be Named BLACKCAPS Captain

New Zealand Cricket will hold a press conference today where Kane Williamson is expected to be named as the captain of the BLACKCAPS.

Williamson led the side on an interim basis at the World T20 in India after the retirement of Brendon McCullum.

New Zealand Cricket Chief executive David White and BLACKCAPS head coach Mike Hesson will be attend the press conference. Williamson is currently in India play in the IPL.

The BLACKCAPS Twitter account tweeted an image of Williamson with the number 34*. Williamson has captained New Zealand on 33 occasions in ODI and Twenty20 formats. He also led the under-19 side in a test match against England in 2008.

The BLACKCAPS next play South Africa in a two-test series in August.
