Some interesting quirks in the All Blacks side to face Georgia in Cardiff at the Rugby World Cup on Saturday morning.

With Ma'a Nonu ruled out with a shoulder injury, Sonny Bill Williams gets another start at second five.

Coach Steve Hansen said Nonu suffered the injury last Sunday.

"Pulled a shoulder back and strained the muscles there, in consultation with the medical crew on Monday I decided it's not worth risking him or the other three injured players."

Nonu joins Barrett, Slade and Messam unavailable for selection through injury.

With Barrett and Slade temporarily on the shelf, TJ Perenara covers Dan Carter as back up first five and goal kicker.

There's a change in roles for the props with Crockett and Faumuina to start while Woodcock and Owen Franks have the impact job off the bench.

Hansen is down playing the swap.

"For us the front rowing quartet have a job to do, and Woody and Owey have been doing that job really well, so it's not a reflection of what they've been doing."

The full team is Crockett, Coles, Faumuina, Retallick, Whitelock, Kaino, McCaw, Read, Aaron Smith, Carter, Savea, Williams, Conrad Smith, Naholo and Ben Smith.

The reserves are Mealamu, Woodcock, Owen Franks, Vito, Cane, Kerr-Barlow, Perenara and Fekitoa.
