The Warriors NRL playoff hopes remain alive with a 24-14 win over the Titans on the Gold Coast.

A second half double from Solomone Kata and a try to Simon Mannering proved the difference after the two teams were level at 10-all at the break.

Kata's second try involved running the length of the field after an intercepted, and included a brutal fend on Anthony Don to leave the line clear.

Jarryd Hayne made a solid return to rugby league after a two year hiatus, making a number of crucial plays on both ends of the field.

The Warriors leapfrog the Titans to go seventh on the ladder with 24 points.

They'll Warriors host South Sydney next weekend while the Titans will be in Hayne's old stomping grounds of western Sydney to take on Wests Tigers at Campbelltown.
