Turns out some people just can't wait for Guns N' Roses.

Police in England are investigating after a couple were allegedly caught getting a little too intimate on the ferris wheel at Download Festival over the weekend.

According to reports, festival-goers spotted the pair inside one of the wheel's glass pods on Saturday night while thousands of punters were waiting for Axl Rose and company to take the stage at Donington Park.

Videos of the alleged antics quickly made the rounds on social media, with what was apparently intended as a private moment becoming very public indeed.

Leicestershire Police confirmed they became aware of the incident after the footage surfaced online and have since spoken with festival organisers as they work to identify the couple involved.

“Originally for the first rotation of the wheel people thought he was just standing behind her with his arms around her, looking at the view. But as it got lower, somebody shouted ‘I can see her pants pulled aside'," a witness told the Leicestershire Police.

"They were literally in a glass pod above everyone’s heads at the busiest point of the night, just before Guns N' Roses were due on... All I can think is they thought the glass was tinted, but it wasn’t at all. It was actually spotless, you could see everything. I just hope they cleaned the cabin after they got out of it.”

While getting frisky in public isn't automatically illegal in the UK, there can be legal consequences depending on the circumstances and whether members of the public are exposed to the act.

Whether the couple were just trying to pass the time before "Sweet Child O' Mine" or attempting to secure the title of Download Festival's most unforgettable moment, it's fair to say their evening didn't go unnoticed.
