Ambulance officer Anna Cochrane set a new record last week when she performed a trapeze act at roughly 3,100 metres in the air.
Ms Cochrane told media she was not scared while hanging in the air despite dislocating her ribs during the act.
"I'm a paramedic, so I assessed myself while hanging upside down."
"I thought, there's definitely something wrong, but I can breathe OK, and I have spent this long trying to be here."
She said it was "the most painful performance of my life" and decided to forego a sky-dive from the balloon with the rest of the troupe.
