The legendary house trashed in Slipknot’s “Duality” video is heading back to auction, according to The Des Moines Register.

In what is arguably the band’s most iconic music video, Slipknot invited a group of fans to join them for the chaotic shoot of “Duality.” Directed by Mark Klasfeld and Tony Petrossian, the video captured the band performing inside a West Des Moines home as frenzied “maggots” - Slipknot’s devoted fans, smashed windows and doors, leapt from the roof onto cars, and unleashed total mayhem.

Despite the carnage caught on camera, the destruction wasn’t exactly planned. Shawn Crahan told Kerrang! at the time, “We asked our real fans to be in the video and people came from all over. It meant so much to us. We weren’t supposed to destroy that house, but we did anyway.”

Following the shoot, MTV.com reported that the homeowners presented the band with a “fix or replace” list — which included windows throughout the house, the entire kitchen, driveway, lawn, doors, rugs, gutters, ceilings, chandeliers, and even the basketball backboard and picnic tables.

It has three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms and the 1,747-square foot home had an assessed value of $336,400 in 2025, according to the Polk County Assessor's Office.

In January, the Bank of New York foreclosed on the home when the owners allegedly failed to pay the $141,403.82 balance owed from their September 2005 mortgage.

Could be a bargain?
