Sea Mouse aren’t stalling around with their single “Gearbox” that really bursts out of the blocks!

The Wellington rock-trio went DUI and produced the single themselves, besides recording at Massey Studios, Wellington and worked with Toby Lloyd from Tiny Triumph who engineered and mixed the single.
Sea Mouse have come off some exciting career highlights as the successful recipient of the NZ On Air funding, performed with NZ legendary supergroup Fly My Pretties and played the TUKI Festival

It’s fast, gritty, and very dirty so the song title “Gearbox” is only fitting. Frontman Seamus Johnson explains how the new single came about;

We wrote the song a few years back while I was doing repairs to the gearbox on my truck. My girlfriend was getting frustrated with me cause I wasn't texting her back due to my hands being covered in grease and gearbox oil. I was also just being occupied by a reasonably difficult and complex task….and I guess gearbox is also a reference to hitting the nose beers too”.
