Founding Member Of The Eagles Glenn Frey Dies Aged 67

Glenn Frey, a founding member of The Eagles, has died at the age of 67, it has been reported.

According to TMZ, Frey had surgery for intestinal problems in November and "in the last few days his condition took a turn for the worse".

TMZ reported the cause of death was "complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia".

Frey, a founding member of The Eagles, sang on many of their biggest hits, including Take It Easy, Tequila Sunrise and Heartache Tonight.

He was here in New Zealand last March for two shows with The Eagles at Mt Smart Stadium.
