While Metallica's special 40th anniversary celebration concerts next week have been sold out for months, fans can take part in the festivities for free virtually thanks to The Coda Collection.

The livestream, which is powered by Amazon Music and Prime Video, will cover Metallica's 40th anniversary performances December 17 and December 19 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

While in-person tickets to the shows were available exclusively to members of Metallica's Fifth Member fan club, anyone can watch the performances virtually via Prime Video Amazon Music or Twitch.tv/AmazonMusic.

The curtain drops at 9 p.m. Pacific on both nights. Both shows will be available to subsequent viewing via The Coda Collection/Prime Video.
