Metallica's recent 'Helping Hands' fundraiser for its All Within My Hands foundation was a massive success, raising more than $1.3 million and counting.
Because the charity benefit was such a success, the band has extended the concert's online availability through Giving Tuesday, December 1.

"Metallica doesn't do anything halfway. This is an example of that," guitarist Kirk Hammett said in remarks before the concert. "We've helped so many people through out music. Now we want to help in a different way."
In addition to offering general and VIP virtual admission to fans for the unique 'Live & Acoustic From HQ' benefit, Metallica supported the fundraiser with a charity auction that included several instruments used by the band during the concert.
Though the show was advertised as an acoustic performance, a la the band's first 'All Within My Hands' fundraiser in 2018, the band surprised viewers with a second fully electric set.
This year alone, the All Within My Hands foundation has pledged more than $2 million to a variety of causes, including disaster relief, hunger, COVID-19 relief and education.
