A week after unveiling its first new music video in years, AC/DC is giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the "Shot in the Dark" set from a studio in Amsterdam.

If presumptions of tension in the reunited version of the band weren't allayed by the gauntlet of interviews guitarist Angus Young and frontman Brian Johnson have done over the past month, it sure looks like the band had a good time playing their parts for the new video.

The clip opens with Young and Johnson sitting together, addressing the camera with the special edition version of the new album, PWR/UP, due out November 13, in their hands. Young is explaining how his iconic schoolboy uniform puts him in the rock 'n' roll mindset, even after all these years.

"Like Clark Kent," Johnson quips, prompting a burst of laughter from the bandmates of 40 years.

Johnson later continues, addressing the decision to bring back AC/DC after a four-year hiatus with a new album.

"I think the world's ready for another bout of rock 'n' roll, you know," says the singer. "It's always been there. But with that many dancers on the stages now, you couldn't get on [laughs]."

The latter third of the video explores how the crew rigged Young's guitar for the closeup on his "Shot in the Dark" solo. Director David Mallet reminisces on a similar shot from the "Thunderstruck" video 30 years ago, in which the camera was mounted on the guitar's headstock.

"The end of the guitar was so heavy that Angus was drooping like that, like he was [falling over]," the director recalled with a laugh.

Bassist Cliff Williams hinted that the band hopes to do some touring in support of the new album, if and when the pandemic situation allows.
