The Raconteurs gave fans a bit of a surprise when they brought Julian Casablancas onstage during their show at Mexico City's El Plaza Condesa. Together, they played The Strokes' This Is It classic "The Modern Age," with the band's frontman on vocal duty while Jack White and Brendan Benson both tackled guitar.

The crowd was all for the collaboration and sang along to every word. Halfway through the song, Casablancas climbed up on a tower speaker before bowing down to the indie rock supergroup, and quickly departed once the performance was over to overwhelming applause.

This isn't the first time Casablancas and White have shared the stage. As Consequence of Sound points out, White joined The Strokes onstage during their 2002 show at New York City's Radio City Music Hall to perform "New York City Cops."

The Raconteurs shared photos from the performance on their Instagram account and a fan was able to catch the whole thing on video. Check out the post and live footage below.
