Jed Parsons has released a colourful video for his new single "Playstation & Porn".

The light-hearted, jangly indie-rock song is the first single from Jed Parsons’ sophomore album, due out later this year. The music video for "Playstation & Porn" was produced by Christchurch-based Ruffell Productions.

Parsons plays the main character, who's addiction to pornography and gaming has led to a relatively lonely way of life. That is, until he finds himself a girlfriend - a blow-up sex doll who mysteriously arrives on his doorstep. The relationship becomes neglected however, when a door-knocking mormon is welcomed in to the house.

“I scouted the location accidentally, ending up there at the end of a boisterous night. It's my friend's flat, and I wasn't in the mood for holding back whilst critiquing his decor or lack-there-of. It dawned on me then and there that this would be the perfect setting for a music video about a playstation and pornography addict - the new-age horrible student flat. Based in a subdivision (not Castle Street) with nothing inside but Grandma's old faded couches and a K-Mart drying rack, only lacking a 'Live, Laugh, Love' canvas on one of the bare off-white walls.” Says Parsons of the video setting.
