Watching Weezer's cover of "Lithium" made Dave Grohl cry

This got old mate Dave pretty emotional...

Before finishing their set during Rock In Rio in the weekend, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo teased the Foo Fighters headlining set to follow “We’re gonna cover a song from Dave Grohl’s old band to tide you over until the main course in a few minutes.”

They led launched into a cover of "Lithium" by Nirvana, which you can watch above.

When the Foos came out to play, Dave dedicated "Big Me" to Weezer “Tonight I’m gonna dedicate this one to Weezer,” he said, “I was backstage and I heard Weezer play the "Lithium" song. I gotta be honest, I cried a little bit. I did! I miss playing that song. I miss it, so I’m happy to hear Weezer play it again. So this one goes out to the sweet Weezer.”
