Weezer took to social media to celebrate the band's 28th anniversary!

The band posted a collage of photos throughout the years along with a touching note to fans.

The band mentioned that there have been some changes since those days 28 years ago, but made sure to be grateful for fans who have stuck with them. “Whenever you came aboard, thanks for your interest and support, it means everything, and helps us plan out the next 28 (or so) years!”

Fans flocked to Weezer's comments section to also thank the band for being around for almost three decades. “Here’s to 28 more years, and 28 more great album,” one fan wrote. “Aww that’s awesome. Thank you guys for everything. Just keep going. We need more =W= See u on the Hella Mega Tour,” another fan commented.

Since its inception, Weezer has released thirteen albums — the most recent being the Black Album — and the band is already planning number fourteen, Van Weezer. In September, the first single from the album, “The End of the Game,” was released, along with an announcement that the album would be released on May 15, 2020!

Weezer will also be heading out on the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy.
