It's taken three rounds of voting for the Labour Party to select Andrew Little as it's new leader.

The numbers show Mr Little only secured 15 percent of the caucus ballot on the first round of voting, 25 percent of the membership, but 64 percent of the union support.

He then picked up preference votes from Nanaia Mahuta supporters in the second round, and then some from David Parker in the third.

The final result was very close and Mr Little just pipped Grant Robertson by one percentage point on the final count.
