According to the Otago daily Times N.W.A's "F*ck Tha Police" was blasted multiple times over the Dunedin Police frequency.

The an anonymous top radio DJ has been pumping both the original N.W.A version and the Rage Against the Machine cover version of the 90's rap anthem.

The ODT has reported that the Dunedin Police are aware of the broadcasts but are yet to locate the top radio DJ.

Inspector Kelvin Lloyd said,

"Any interference with a police radio constitutes a risk to public safety, and anyone caught doing this can face a penalty of criminal nuisance and up to one year imprisonment,".

This isn't the first time top radio DJ's have hijacked the cops airwaves. There were reports last year of general abuse and pig sounds being broadcast over police frequencies in the North Island last year.
