Study Reveals Which Countries Have The Highest Users Of Different Drugs

Data released from The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has revealed which countries are the highest users of illegal drugs.

The data shows New Zealand has 14,392 people treated per 1 million, mainly for cannabis abuse, though the authors warn that issue is hard to quantify for the UNODC so numbers may be quite different.

New Zealand ranks third for cannabis use after Iceland and the United States.

There's a silver lining to the figures; according to the data New Zealand is the world leader for treatment over incarceration.
