Henry has been forced to end his career after having major knee surgery in three of the last four NRL seasons.

He was forced out of the current season in the campaign opener in March after injuring the patella tendon in his left knee.

It followed ACL injuries to the same knee in 2013 and last year.

Henry says he thought about quitting just days after suffering this year's injury.

"I was stuck in hospital for two weeks and I was sort of thinking about my future and just what's best for my family - it was really my family that was taking the toll."

Ben Henry played 52 times for the Warriors after making his debut in 2012.
