The Black Caps have wrapped up a series levelling 19-run win in the fourth one-dayer against India in Ranchi.
After scoring 260 for seven batting first, New Zealand has dismissed the Indians for 241 with eight balls remaining.
Martin Guptill top scored with 72 from 84 balls, while Tim Southee took three for 40 as part of a strong all round bowling performance.
Spinner Mitchell Santner, who took one for 38 from his ten overs, says they were able to use the dewy night conditions to their benefit.
"We watched them bowl in the first innings and they got a bit of turn, so I mean there was a bit of dew at the end and it was hard to hold, but there was a bit there for the spinners if you put it in the right areas."
Black Caps captain Kane Williamson is praising his troops for a lift in performance.
Williamson says there was some vital performances with both bat and ball.
"All of the guys looked to execute their roles, and did it well, there's always room for improvement but at the same time it's a step up from what we've shown recently."
It levels the series at two-all with the final match on Saturday.
