The Black Caps have picked three front line spinners in their 15-man squad for the World Twenty20 in India in March.

Nathan McCullum, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi have been included, while young batsman Henry Nicholls has made the squad as backup keeper.

Black Caps coach Mike Hesson has picked a squad that he thinks can adapt to Indian conditions.

"As I said they are so far removed from what we face at the moment, so the challenge for us is adapting."

"Hopefully we've got a squad with enough experience that can do that."

Seamer Matt Henry misses out, while Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee and Ross Taylor have been named.

There's no room for Todd Astle or Tom Latham.

Kane Williamson will captain the side.

The full squad is: Kane Williamson (c), Corey Anderson, Trent Boult, Grant Elliott, Martin Guptill, Adam Milne, Mitchell McClenaghan, Colin Munro, Nathan McCullum, Henry Nicholls, Luke Ronchi, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor.
