BLACKCAPS Crush India In T20 World Cup Opener

The Black Caps have humbled India in the Twenty20 World Cup opener in Nagpur.

New Zealand's thrashed the tournament favourites by 47 runs, with spinners Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi and Nathan McCullum taking nine of the wickets between them to roll India for just 79.

Santner has been named man of the match after taking four for 11.

He says they thought there 126 for seven was below par, but they bowled well and made the most of the conditions.

The Black Caps' next group match is against Australia on Friday night.
