A bounce back win for the Breakers in the Australian basketball league.

The defending champions have beaten the Kings 93-83 in Sydney, off the back of 38 points from guard Corey Webster.

Towering centre Alex Pledger also performed well with eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Breakers trailed by one point at the end of the first quarter and the scores were level at 38-all at the major break.

But they won the third period by 14 points and effectively took control of the game to go on to record a crucial win.

It turns around their heavy loss to the Wollongong Hawks before Christmas and moves them to 11 wins, closer to the league-leading Perth Wildcats.

The Breakers play the Taipans in Cairns on New Year's Eve.
