Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum will retire from all international cricket at the end of the summer.

McCullum's last game will be in the test against Australia at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, starting on February 20th.

He had hoped to hold off making the announcement, but the impending selection of the squad for the world Twenty20 tournament has forced his hand.

New Zealand Cricket has confirmed Kane Williamson will captain the Black Caps at that tournament in March.
