The departure of Cedric Jackson is likely to see the Breakers scour far and wide for a replacement.

Former MVP Jackson won't return to the Breakers next season, opting to seek interest from other clubs, leaving the Breakers with Corey Webster and Shea Ili to run the point.

However Coach Paul Henare said despite the existing options, with two import spots remaining, they'll be aiming to fill one of those with a guard which they've always targeted.

The Breakers haven't ruled out retiring Jackson's jersey as he comes under the criteria for it.

Forward Tai Wesley also won't return to the North Shore next season.

General Manager Dillon Boucher said while they don't know where he and Jackson are heading, it's expected they'll be in demand.

Boucher said the Breakers will just have to cope with coming up against them.
