The Chiefs continue to set the standard in Super Rugby with a commanding 48-23 win over the Brumbies in Canberra.

Led by a 23 point haul to fullback Damian McKenzie, they've knocked off the Australia frontrunners with a six tries to two bonus point win.

Co-captain Aaron Cruden says the first half was made up of long range tries, but the second half was better rugby.

He says they made a few adjustments at halftime in order to be more clinical.

Brumbies flanker David Pocock has been cited for a neck grab on Michael Leitch late in the match.
