Danny Lee remains in contention at the Masters, provisionally tied for third after two rounds.

The 25-year-old New Zealander carded a bittersweet two-over par 74 this morning (NZT), dropping him back to two-under overall behind American leader and defending champion Jordan Spieth.

With the majority of the field still yet to complete their second round, Lee's early start produced exactly what the doctor ordered - a solid score to keep him in contention. But, it could easily have been four shots better.

At one point Lee managed to get it to five-under par after making a birdie on the Par 5 second, only to four-putt the third green and drop two shots. However, the Kiwi rallied back, putting together a gutsy display to stay in the hunt for the Green Jacket.
