The NRL has confirmed the Parramatta Eels will be docked 12 competition points and fined one million Australian dollars for breaches of the salary cap dating back to 2013.

In addition, the NRL has cancelled the registration of five Parramatta officials.

After considering the responses from the Eels and the five officials, NRL CEO Todd Greenberg says there was insufficient information to warrant any change to the penalties originally proposed in the breach notices.

The penalties have been enforced today, with Parramatta dropping from fourth to 12th on the ladder, six points outside the top eight.
