The Golden State Warriors are a win away from claiming the NBA championship.

They've won game five against the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-91 at home, to surge ahead for a 3-2 lead in the best of seven series.

The game was evenly poised for the first two quarters, before the Warriors took control late in the third.

Warriors guard Stephen Curry scored 17 of his 37 points in the final quarter.

"When I have an opportunity to go one on one I get really aggressive and I get him off balance and shoot the three, and you gotta just make those shots."

The series returns to Cleveland for game six on Thursday.
