Krishna Re-Signs With Wellington

Roy Krishna has followed his captain's lead and re-signed with the Wellington Phoenix to the end of the 2017/18 A-League football season.

The Fijian international has attracted interest from other clubs, but says he's had no intention to leave Wellington.

Krishna says Ernie Merrick is a good coach who has improved him as a player and he feels comfortable at the Phoenix.

Merrick says he's always found it hard to find good strikers and goalkeepers so when you get a good one you want to hold on to him.

Phoenix skipper Andrew Durante last week recommitted to the Phoenix for the next two seasons.
