Marlon Samuels has had a dig at Australian commentator Shane Warne after leading the West Indies to the World T20 title over England.

Samuels scored 85 from 66 balls to lead West Indies to their second title but then launched a stunning attack on Warne who criticised his performance in the semifinal win over India, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Samuels started out by sarcastically dedicating his player of the match award to Warne: "This is for Shane Warne."

He followed on his attack at the official press conference.

"I don't know why he hates me. Maybe it's because my face is real and his face is not," Samuels said.

Samuels claimed the Australian spin great has had work done on his appearance and questioned why Warne had been such a fierce critic of him over the years.

His comments are now being investigated by the ICC, the Daily Telegraph reports.

The press conference was prematurely cut off after Samuels' comments.

Samuels and Warne have history. Their rivalry dates back a Big Bash clash when, Warne taunted the West Indian with cries of "F*** you Marlon, f*** you Marlon" before Samuels threw his bat at the Australian.
