The Warriors has turned in their worst performance of the NRL season, thrashed 42 nil by the Storm in Melbourne.

The eight tries to nil thumping is sure to see the pressure mount again on coach Andrew McFadden, who wasn't pulling punches over the loss.

"We never really got ourselves in the game at any stage. Physically we were just dominated so it's a pretty easy one to find the answer."

He described the performance as "unacceptable."

"It was a big occasion, we knew they were going to come out, and we just clearly weren't prepared for that."

Captain Ryan Hoffman agreed, saying their forwards didn't man up against a big Storm unit.

"Upfront they played to their strengths, and we as a pack weren't willing enough to stand in front of them."

"We waited for Melbourne to run at us, and we waited for Melbourne to run over us. We took some soft options defensively and they equate to tries."

The Warriors are now 13th on the ladder with the result compounded by injuries to Simon Mannering and Tuimoala Lolohea.

McFadden doesn't know whether the duo will be fit for Sunday's match against the Dragons.

Lolohea has strained a medial ligament while Mannering sustained a nasty cut to his face.

Manly's up to 8th after beating Newcastle 26-10 while the Dragons have beaten the bottom of the table Roosters 20-18.
