Colin Munro has scored the second fastest Twenty20 half century ever, as the Black Caps have obliterated Sri Lanka in the second match at Eden Park.

Munro's finished unbeaten on 50 off just 14 balls, hitting a mammoth seven sixes and one four in his brief but explosive innings, as New Zealand's chased down the 143 required in just 10 overs.

His innings is just two balls slower than the fastest ever 50 in T20, set by Yuvraj Singh off 12 balls.

Not to be outdone, Martin Guptill hit 63 off 25 balls while Kane Williamson finished unbeaten on 32.

Earlier, New Zealand restricted Sri Lanka to 142 for eight from their 20 overs, with Grant Elliott finishing with impressive figures of four for 22 from his four overs while Adam Milne and Mitchell Santner took two wickets each.

Angelo Mathews helped Sri Lanka out of a whole when they were 70 for six in the 12th over, hitting an unbeaten 81 off 49 balls.

It means New Zealand wins the series 2-nil.
