Scot world number two Andy Murray has outlasted a determined challenge from Canadian Milos Raonic to reach his fifth Australian Open final.

Murray fought from two sets to one down, to overcome the 13th seed 4-6, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 in a four hour thriller.

Raonic struggled with pushing off his leg and called for a medical time out before the fifth set.

He said he felt "heart broken on court".

Murray said it's a shame the match was marred by Raonic's problems.

"It's tough, especially at this stage of an event," said Murray.

Murray is into his fifth Australian Open final tomorrow, where he'll meet world number one Novak Djokovic for the 31st time.
