Issac Luke has shrugged off any jetlag and ripped into some pre-season training with the Warriors ahead of the 2016 season.

While not expected back until the new year, the Kiwis hooker has been training with the side this week.

He arrived at Mount Smart on Monday after only touching down from a holiday to the US at 5am.

"One of the boxes I want to tick off as a player coming to a new club, hopefully I can help a lot of the young boys around and show them my experience."

He said he was ready to go after tucking into some hearty American meals.

"They don't give you short change on their food over there."

"I knew as soon as I got off the plane I was going straight to training."

Luke, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and the other new recruits for 2016 have been presented to sponsors and partners in Auckland.

Tuivasa-Sheck's season only ended mid-last month after the tour of England but said trainer Ruben Wiki has been annoyed with him hanging around Mount Smart.

"Enjoyed the break but pretty keen to get into it, Ruben keeps telling me to go away and have a rest."
