The Black Caps have bounced back from their openingTwenty20 defeat to thump Pakistan by 10 wickets in Hamilton.

Set 169 to win, New Zealand reached the total in record breaking fashion, with Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill posting the highest partnership in Twenty20 history as they finished on 171 without loss.

Williamson hit 72 while Guptill finished unbeaten on 83 and he says the performance was amazing.

"Kane got off to an absolute flier today so I tried to feed him the strike as much as I could, and when it was my turn to have a go, that's what happened," Guptill said.

The series is tied at 1-all ahead of the third and final match in Wellington on Friday.
