Ronda Rousey has been stunned by Holly Holm in Melbourne today.

The dominant face of UFC had barely boken a sweat in racking up win after win, with most of her victories coming within a minute.

However, Holm ended that streak by first testing Rousey by lasting several minutes, before knocking her out with a vicious kick to the head. The 34-year-old Holm, a multiple boxing world champion, delivered the head kick 59 seconds into the second round of the bout to send Rousey crashing to the canvas.

It appeared Rousey was close to unconscious as she hit the deck. Holm followed up with a few strikes before the referee stopped the fight.

The win propelled Holm's MMA record to 10-0 and dropped Rousey's to 12-1 as UFC commentator Joe Rogan called it the biggest upset in the history of the sport.
