RWC Referees Appointed

The referees have been allocated for the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.

Welshman Nigel Owens has been handed the whistle for the All Blacks France match in Cardiff, with Englishman Wayne Barnes to officiate the Springboks and Wales at Twickenham.

Owens has been a regular in All Blacks tests in recent years, refereeing 16 All Blacks tests since 2007 including the memorable test against the Springboks in 2013 at Ellis Park.

He controlled the match between France and Ireland at the weekend.

Craig Joubert will take charge of Australia and Scotland, while Jerome Garces of France will referee Ireland and Argentina.
