Sonny Bill Williams is staying with New Zealand Rugby through until the 2019 World Cup.

The Herald on Sunday has revealed the long-time code-hopper has signed a new multi-year deal, that'll see him return to 15-a-side rugby next year.

The 33-test All Black has rejected offers to return to the NRL and head back to his former French club Toulon.

But, his new Super Rugby franchise is still to be confirmed.

Both the Blues and Chiefs are in the running to ink Williams' signature for 2017, but confirmation of which franchise is successful won't be known until a press conference on Wednesday.
