Jordan Taufua has set his sights on an All Blacks jersey and is looking forward to getting the chance to test himself against the incumbent number six this weekend.

Taufua has re-signed with the Crusaders and New Zealand Rugby for the next two years, with an eye to playing test rugby.

He is eligible to play for Samoa, but said he wants a black jersey - Taufua said playing for the All Blacks is his dream.

He'll go head-to-head with Jerome Kaino when the Crusaders visit the Blues this Saturday night, and Taufua said he looked up to Kaino growing up.

"I used to go to watch those Auckland games, and the Blues games, and he was out there, you know, he was the hard-hitter, the hard-runner as well so I kind of admired the way he played."

All Blacks lock Sam Whitelock has been ruled out of the Crusaders side with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, former All Blacks and Crusaders winger Zac Guildford has signed with the Tasman Makos for this year's national provincial rugby championship.
