Smile and wave to your friends, family and all those fans watching on TV. Maybe even make a funny hand gesture that's a private joke between you and a loved one.

Canadian swimmer Santo Condorelli does just that, although his "funny gesture" is a bit more than a lame peace sign.

That's because before every race Santo gives his dad the middle finger. According to Donna Spencer of the Canadian Press this ritual started when Santo was a eight-year-old frustrated by swimming against older competitors.

Check out this video from the Junior Champs.

Santo is part of the Canadian Mens Olympic Swim team who are competing this week and no doubt his finger will become one of the most talk about body parts of the games.

😂 love the fact that wherever I go, everyone knows #🖕 #teampeluk #toogood #roadtorio
