The Warriors are refusing to blame a lack of experience for their wobbly form on day one of the NRL Auckland Nines.

A defeat in their second pool game against Manly leaves the home favourites needing to beat the winless Broncos this afternoon to progress the quarter-finals.

Experienced forward Ryan Hoffman said it's not the young players fault.

Hoffman said that would be unfair on their young players as a lot of them have been very good.

He said they need to play better as a team.

Melbourne, Manly and Cronulla are the only unbeaten sides after day one.
