The Warriors doubt Ben Henry's third major injury to the same knee will be career-ending.

The utility will go under the knife tomorrow to fix a broken kneecap, having had the same knee reconstructed twice already in the last three years.

Coach Andrew McFadden said Henry's bounced back well from serious injuries in the past.

"He's a great kid, he's got a very level head, and he's done it before so as long as he's got the right support he'll be fine."

Andrew McFadden couldn't put a timeframe on Henry's return, but said he will be sidelined for a considerable chunk of the NRL season.

McFadden's also adamant Henry wasn't rushed back into rugby league from his most recent injury.

Henry's omission is the only change to the Warriors side for Friday's match against the Broncos, with Bodene Thompson promoted to the starting lineup and Raymond Faitala-Mariner into the reserves.
