The Warriors will keep calling Mt Smart Stadium home until at least 2028.

Regional Facilities Auckland has finalised a new agreement with the NRL club, replacing the existing licence which was due to conclude at the end of 2018.

Warriors managing director Jim Doyle says the work done by RFA boss Chris Brooks has been outstanding.

He says they had a lot of meetings with him and he kept an open mind right throughout the whole process.

As a result speedway will remain at Western Springs until early 2019, while work on an alternative speedway location is progressed.
