The Warriors are welcoming back the 'Shameful Six' with open arms as they look to leave the energy drinks saga in the past.

Six players were stood down for the Warriors last match, with just two in the form of Bodene Thompson and Ben Matulino recalled for this weekend's match against the Panthers in Christchurch.

Halfback Shaun Johnson said they've all done their time, and now need to focus on the on field action.

"They're all proud people. They're all respected people and they know they let themselves and their families down and they've come back, they train hard and as a team that's all we can ask for."

Johnson said the plus in the whole scandal has been the emergence of players willing to step up in adversity.

"You've seen boys come in last week do a terrific job that haven't played first grade in a while. I don't think we've given them enough credit for that. They came in at a tough time, a time when the club wasn't at it's best and they delivered for us."

The Warriors play Penrith in Christchurch this weekend.
