The Warriors have held on to win 24-20 in a tense NRL thriller against the Bulldogs in Wellington.

After a handy 8-nil lead courtesy of David Fusitua and Blake Ayshford tries, the Warriors found themselves on the back foot when the Bulldogs responded through three straight tries to take a 14-8 lead at the break.

The Warriors had the better of the second spell, and regained the lead through tries to Jonathan Wright and Tuimoala Lolohea, with Blake Ayshford also crossing for a double late in the match.

Down 24-14 with less than 10 minutes to play, the Bulldogs began a staunch resurgence, and got back to within four points with Kerrod Holland scoring his second try of the night.

But, the Warriors held on to clinch the match, and secure their much-needed third win of the season.

It's only the second time the Warriors have won in nine matches in Wellington.
