Bruce was editor of New Zealand football fanzine Sitter from 1997-2005 and a Waikato Times journalist for nearly 20 years from 1992-2011. He has three times won NZ Football Media Writer of the Year and three times won Publication of the Year. 

He was also chairman of Melville United for 13 seasons from  2004-2017.

We talk about his controversial match reports and the coaches and players he's upset, his relationship with Declan Edge and why they are no longer friends on Twitter, his opinion of the proposed national league change, the time a player physically threatened him following a spicy article and why he was so pissed off Steve transferred from Bay Olympic to Glenfield Rovers.
